Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient and honored system of holistic healing. It is a system developed to address the underlying balance of energy and vitality, which stimulates natural healing of the whole person.
In the initial visit I devote ample time to gathering information about your health history, and discussing current concerns. Your information will then be evaluated, and you will be given the appropriate treatment. Please allow 2 hours for this session. I have a gentle needling style.
Acupuncture, dietary changes, proper exercise, and the use of the correct herbal and/or supplemental therapies for your needs can produce profound
changes in your health. Extensive training and eighteen years of experience make it possible for me to draw from a wide selection of treatments to address

I am a 1990 graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. I have a Diplomate of Acupuncture, which is equivalent to a three year Master’s program.
I am certified by the National Committee for the Certification of Acupuncturists in Washington, D.C
Licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners, I had a private practice in Portland, Oregon for eight years before moving to North Carolina in 1998.
Licensed by the North Carolina Acupuncture Board, I had a private practice in Asheville, N.C., and taught at the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine for three years.
I did international study at the Somatic Science Institute in Beijing, China in 1994, where I also received instruction in Essence Qigong - a Chinese way of revitalizing the body through movement.
Through post-graduate seminars, personal research, and eighteen years of clinical experience, I have developed the following specialties: pain management, stress reduction, TMJ, digestive concerns, nutritional correction, and weight management.
